One day I was at a super market, when I was 7 Years of age and had forgot my money at home, my intuition made me want to have to steal a packet of chips ehich I was going to buy- Despite doing that I threw it away before even opening it, as I had a fear that the police would come and arrest me! Greg Craven's Logic
What flaws can you identify from Greg Craven's reasoning, in this video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zORv8wwiadQ?
The video showed an easy to understand version of risk management using grid to sketch out possible scenarios based on: a) whether we choose to take action or not, and b) whether global warming turns out to be a threat or not. Using the grid, Craven concluded that taking action to combat climate change was the better choice, given the relative risks.
In my opinion Craven is correct with his conclusion and his reasoning, but, at the end of the day the whole topic is quite a bit more complex and which is why people, states or the international community are yet to find a 100% accurate solution for climate change and it is tough to make make a vast majority of the world to adapt to a certain life style! Though, a possible way could be going green for a period of time.

Is seeing believing?
Seeing is how one views an something, through the use of the naked eye only- This does not necessarily mean that what you are viewing is what is actually really there, as there are several cases where our eyes can deceive us-
For example, when you look at a long road on a hot day majority of the time one tends to see water on the road, when, it is not actually there, when one views a basic optical illusion, it can appear to be moving, when it actually isn't or deformed from it's and there are also cases where people can't see things, but, believe them- Such as god.
A quote from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, reminds me of this case scenario- 'Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them' Obi-Wan Kenobi.
All in all, you don't necessarily have to see some thing in order to believe it nor do you have to believe something in order to see it.

Language, what's the big deal?
Language, is a form of communication and is the core foundation of all education we acquire, a tool which without it the human race would be no where near as developed, this is something we utilize every day as matter of fact it is tough for most to spend more then a few minutes without making use of it. Language is not only verbal as it cam also be expressed via text messages, pictures, symbols, videos, etc. In my opinion, language is not only a tool of communication for us humans as a matter of fact I feel an over whelming majority, if not all animals make use of language in order to interact with one and other, despite the fact the Oxford English Dictionary defines it as "the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way." I feel a language does not necessarily have to be written, or for that matter even spoken it should just be possible to teach it to another person and/or an animal. In humans, the language impacts ones behavior , manners, style and virtually every aspect about them. Language is a vital aspect to understand most things in every day life, for human beings , things such as a skull and cross bone which suggest danger, for me, is also language! Hence, being able to understand and interpret language is a vital part of fitting in to the real world.

Why is the ruthless totalitarian regime, described in Orwell’s novel purging Oldspeak and imposing Newspeak? What assumptions are being made about the relationship between language and thought?
The aim of the Newspeak is to decrease the words and language being used. They would like people's thoughts and mind to be in control such that it is made easier for it to be understood. The conclusion derived from relationship with thought and language is made smaller from the diction used, the less the thoughts of people will become.

Real Life Situation
Situation- The 2010 bomb blast at Kyadondo rugby club, during the World Cup Final which the Somali Islamist movement al-Shabaab were responsible for.
Knowledge Question- To what extent should the government of a country be held responsible, for attack on their citizens?

Knowledge Questions
Mr Moussay's grandfather says that the fruits on his trees are ripening earlier and earlier in the year and that this must be due to global warming.
Topic: Global warming.
Implicit question about the situation: Does the ripening suggest an increase in global warming?
Open-ended question about knowledge in the context of the real life situation: Why does the increase in Global Warming cause the fruits to ripen?
Open-ended question about knowledge using TOK concepts: How does Mr. Moussay's grand father use his experiances over the past, to come to a conclusion that global warming causes fruits to ripen in a more rapid manner?

Entry #1- The most important DP subject that I take.
The IB Diploma consists of 6 vital subjects and in my humble opinion the importance of each and every one of them depends on the individual who is doing the course, as we all have different opinions in this entry I shall be talking about what I feel are the most important subjects that I take, in the IB diploma.
1- Physics-This is the the study of matter, energy, and the interaction between them, to me this is the most important subject that I take, due to the fact that it helps you have a better understanding of what is around you, enables you to acquire a knowledge of how the universe actually started, the discoveries made by Physics were arguably a catalyst in the growth of technology and nearly all fields of engineering there is, require a working knowledge of Physics.
2- ITGS- Technology is growing and has taken the world by storm, having a working knowledge of technology at one point will be essential, almost everything in this day and age has an aspect of ITGS in it. Having basic computer skills, are essential to virtually an job these days.
3- Mathematics- If one experts in this subject, it equips them with a uniquely powerful set of tools to understand and change the world. It is a universal part of human culture. It is the tool and language of engineering and other sciences – physics, computing, etc. It helps us recognise patterns and to acquire a better understanding of the world around us. Mathematics plays a vital, role in several aspects of modern life.
4- Chemistry- EVERYTHING around us is is made from chemicals, Chemistry is an essential part of our life's if one has a good understanding of chemistry it can help us do things such as pick out the correct medications, if we are sick, understand the food we eat and beauty products we utilize.
5- English- The knowledge of English is essential, though I do not see it as important as the ones above as we have forms of communications in other languages. That being said, it is also the most required international language of communication and it helps people from different parts of the world to have a common understanding.
6- French- French is not really required, in my opinion, as I see no need in having to learn another language! Though with that being said a 2nd Language is essential to complete the IB Diploma, also it is extremely useful in helping you get in to university and getting a job these days, in most cases, requires you to know at least 2 languages.
